Scientists at St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design (Ƶ) have patented a new composition for pretreating cotton fabrics before applying textile ornaments to them using direct digital printing (inkjet - printing). The technology will completely eliminate energy-intensive and resource-intensive stages from the production chain: washing the material after printing and drying. The introduction of development in light industries will save thousands of litres of water at each production cycle, reduce the burden on treatment plants and reduce the electricity consumption required for water heating and the drying process.
Eva Orlova, a student at the College of Technology, Modeling and Management of Ƶ, became a member of the delegation of St. Petersburg, which represented the region at the V Youth Rally of Ambassadors of the federal project "Professionalism," which ended in the capital of the Chechen Republic, in the city of Grozny. It is attended by 500 people from 86 regions of Russia: students of colleges and technical schools and their curators - teachers, as well as representatives of youth media centers of open source software.
Students and teachers of the Institute of Spatial Environment Design Ƶ represented Russia at the XX International Festival of Arts Crayons Tonk/Kala Parv, which was held in early October in Tonk, India. For several days, the participants worked on their own paintings. The subject matter of the works ranged from realistic landscape to abstract composition.
