Academic mobility programmes for international students

Double Degree Programmes

International degree programmes are developed collaboratively with a partner university in the chosen field of specialization. The curriculum is specially designed to provide students with an optimal workload, exchange opportunities in a partner university and favourable conditions for research projects and thesis development.

Upon successful completion of the programme students are awarded both the nationally recognised Ƶ and the respective partner university degrees with two separate diplomas.

Admission to the programme is available only by prior arrangement with a partner university.

Student Exchange Programmes

These short-term international integrated exchange programmes cover all specializations offered by Ƶ. A university partner or a student personally chooses courses from the catalogue and sets up an individual study plan customized to the goals and preferences. Upon enrollment the student joins a regular students’ group, participates in curricular and extra-curricular activities and completes the requirements for selected disciplines.

All courses are taught in Russian. International students can take an intensive Russian language course included into the maximal workload.

Optimal workload per semester: 30 ECTS credits

Certificates are awarded upon successful completion of the programme.

The total number of students from one partner university should not exceed 5 people for each educational programme per academic term.

Academic terms: September-December (Autumn Semester) and February-June (Spring Semester).

The deadline for Autumn Semester applications is June 1.

The deadline for Spring Semester applications is December 1.

International Semester in English

The short-time international educational programme is taught entirely in English and is exclusively designed to meet students’ and partner universities’ educational needs. The curriculum system is modular and unified for each international study group. The intensive course of the Russian language is a part of a study plan for foreign students.

At the end of the programme, all students enrolled for credit have to present final course projects.

ECTS: 30 credits

Upon successful completion of the programme students receive a certificate.

The deadline for Autumn Semester applications is June 1.

The deadline for Spring Semester applications is December 1.

Seasonal Schools

These short-time international educational programmes last for 2-3 weeks. A partner university chooses the content, structure, assessment, and the language of instruction. The syllabus is customized for each educational programme. Course workload may vary from 2 to 15 ECTS credits. The programme may include lectures, workshops, master classes, company visits as well as excursions and social activities.

The total number of students should not be less than 5 and more than 25.

Certificates are awarded upon successful completion of the programme.

The programme should be agreed on content, duration and application deadline 6 weeks before the school starts.

Postgraduate studies at Ƶ

The international postgraduate education program involves enrolling a foreign student in graduate school at Ƶ. To enroll, an applicant for training must pass an interview at the profiling department of Ƶ and obtain a written opinion of the department on the possibility of training, as well as pass competitive entrance exams in a special discipline and the Russian language. The total term of study should not exceed three years for full-time education and four years for part-time education.

Acceptance of applications and documents for graduate school from foreign citizens is carried out from 01 to 10 September this year. Entrance exams run from September 15 to 25.

Organization and joint participation in research works, in creative projects, in international competitions, conferences and seminars

Students and teachers of partner universities can conduct joint or parallel scientific research, exchange the results obtained, prepare joint publications based on the results of research, as well as register joint inventions. The conditions for conducting such studies are regulated by agreements concluded between partner universities or directly with foreign program participants.

Students and teachers of partner universities can agree on the organization and conduct of joint international creative projects (competition, exhibition, Olympiad). On the basis of additional agreements, the conditions for such events and projects can be agreed. Events can take place simultaneously in partner universities or alternately in each of them. Applications are accepted, i. e. approval of programs, dates and list of students is carried out no later than 6 weeks before the start of the creative project.

Mandatory conditions of participation

All proposed programs are designed for students of partner universities of Ƶ who have appropriate cooperation agreements, and can be implemented on a student exchange basis.

For students of third-party universities, the conditions for participation in programs are only contractual.

Students enrolled in Ƶ as students in these international programs are given the opportunity to live in hostels of Ƶ.

Meals for all program participants can be provided in restaurants and cafes located directly in the buildings of the university and its hostels, as well as in numerous catering points in the city.

All students arriving at Ƶ to participate in international academic mobility programs must have medical insurance valid in the Russian Federation for the entire period of study and comply with the rules for the stay of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation.

Accommodation and meals are paid personally by participants in international academic mobility programs, unless otherwise stipulated by additional agreements with partner universities.
