All educational programs at the University are taught in Russian.
Forms of training:
- full-time;
- part-time;
- correspondence;
- distance.
Foreign students study in international training groups with students from Russian Federation.
Academic year is divided into 2 semesters, separated by examination sessions and academic holidays:
- The first (fall) semester continues from September till December, winter examination session is in January, winter holidays (2 weeks) finish in the beginning of February.
- The second (spring) semester continues from February till the beginning of June, then students pass the summer examination session, training and production practices, then they have summer holidays.
Students have an opportunity to take part in large-scale scientific developments, get involved in scientific projects and conduct their own research. Also students can get their first experience in the framework of industrial practice in the largest enterprises of Saint-Petersburg.
Implementation of scientific, technology and art ideas of students is carried out in the University Park of Art and Technology Projects and in the “Boiling point – IndTechDesign” with the assistance of the project office of the university's scientific and technological initiative.
All educational and social issues of university students are supervised by the corresponding department office of the institute or college. In addition, a student's Personal Account has been created for students, which provides access to information about the educational process (training plan and academic progress). With the help of this service, student can maintain a portfolio, adding data on their individual achievements, work with the electronic library systems IPRbooks and iBooks, communicate with other students and teachers of the university, as well as exchange files.
The University has a rich material and technical base, consisting of located in the historical center of Saint-Petersburg.
The charter of the University guarantees all students equal rights and access to all the infrastructure of the university, including the use of the library and reading rooms, sports and gyms and complexes, participation in student clubs and self-government bodies.
