Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education ‘Ƶ’ (Ƶ), Institute of Design and Fine Arts, and the Department of Monumental Art invite artists, academics, graduate and undergraduate students to participate in the annual International Exhibition and Contest ‘Creative Spring.’ The year 2026 has been declared in our country the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, therefore, the theme of the exhibition is ‘We Are Together – We Are United!’.
Russia is a multinational country where every ethnicity has religious beliefs and cultural traditions that most fully express attitudes to the world and to the individual. The significant contribution of Russia’s diverse ethnic groups to the development of Russian art is widely acknowledged. During the Soviet era, works of fine and monumental art vividly and fully revealed a wide panorama of artistic traditions among different peoples of Russia, along with their everyday life, customs, and rituals, which was reflected both in the subject matter and in the distinctive character of their plastic form. Today, many contemporary artists continue the noble tradition of close interethnic cooperation in the cultural and creative sphere. This fosters the mutual spiritual enrichment of the peoples of Russia and, at the same time, supports the development of their national identities.
The exhibition accepts narrative and thematic paintings, portraits, still lifes, and landscapes for participation. The Exhibition and Contest will be held from 10 to 24 March 2026 at Ƶ as part of the International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Current Issues of Monumental Art’.
