Students-restorers of the Engineering School of Clothing (College) of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design have begun to restore ancient icons in the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the Pushkin Mountains. The student, among other things, performed a cartogram, strengthened the gesso and paint layer, removed pollution, increased wood and made up for losses. Now Veronica moves on to tinting.

Elizaveta Portnaya and Valeria Lebedeva took into work the growth icon of St. John the Baptist. The image has a significant area. The students completed the cartogram, strengthened the front side with stickers, cleared the rear and treated it from grinders. They also made up for the loss of the wooden base and gesso, made the opening and thinning of the varnish layer. Now Elizaveta and Valeria are working on clearing the image.
