Alexey Demidov, Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, was awarded the Badge of Honor "For special Contribution to the development of St. Petersburg" at a ceremony in the Legislative Assembly of the city.

This is the highest award given by the Legislative Assembly of the city. The award was established to reward people who have made a significant contribution to the development of the city in the professional, scientific, cultural, social or public sphere. The award is given for many years of hard work and achievements that contribute to the development of the urban economy, science, healthcare, culture, sports, social support for the population, as well as for strengthening the authority of St. Petersburg at the Russian and international levels.

"I am grateful to the city and the Legislative Assembly for such an assessment. I believe that this is not only my personal contribution, but also the contribution of the entire rector's community. I am sincerely glad and I will justify your trust," said Alexey Demidov, Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.
