The regional stage of the All-Russian professional skills championship "Professionals" has ended in the city on the Neva. Throughout February, the contestants competed in 184 core and 110 junior competencies at various venues in the city. College students of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design won 9 medals at the championship: one gold, six silver awards and two bronze.
The results of the Ƶ students in terms of competencies are described in our material.
The University of Industrial Technologies and Design has two medals in the field of Architecture.: Valeria Logishinets (CTMM) — gold (mentor — Svetlana Veremeenko), Sofya Sabanchina (CTMM) — silver (mentor — Sergey Shvedov).
"On the first day of work, we developed sketches and plans for the building. On the second day, the master plan, facade and section are presented. On the third day, they collected a poster and prepared for a public defense. Each stage was difficult for me in its own way. The championship became an excellent platform for experimentation, the task allowed us to look at architectural design from a new angle and prepare for future professional challenges, and the acquired knowledge and skills are an indispensable asset in future work."

Participation in the competence "Restoration of paintings" brought student Alyona Klementyeva (CES) silver. Alyona's mentor was teacher Gleb Shinkarev.

The contestants were faced with the task of restoring the loss of soil and wood, the scuffing of the paint and varnish layer, as well as writing competent documentation and completing a cartographic diagram of a copy of the reconstruction of the icon "John the Baptist — Angel of the Desert." To do this, Alena used various tools: scalpels, brushes, sandpaper, watercolor and tempera paints.
"In the first module, I identified defects and conducted studies of the paint layer under UV rays, indicated the number of losses, compiled a description of the icon's preservation and filled out restoration documentation. The second module of the assignment focused on the preparation of the accompanying documentation. I have developed a plan of restoration measures, created schemes for the loss of soil and paint layer. The last four hours have been focused on the technical restoration. We restored the wooden base of the monument and were engaged in the conservation of the destroyed areas. This required preparatory work: gluing with natural glue and preparing the sawmill mass. The work was stressful, but interesting."

"During the preparation process, I worked in a new program, studied in depth the topic of ergonomics of the socket arrangement. The comments of the experts, to which I have listened, have become important, and I will take them into account in my future work."

The silver medal in the competence "Make-up and stylistics" was won by student Daria Kashina (CES). She was mentored by teacher Anna Zagorskaya. Daria was faced with the task of doing her makeup and hairstyle in a limited time. On the first day, the contestants did commercial makeup and hairstyle, and on the last day they were offered the module "Creative Makeup: the image of a St. Petersburg woman" and the presentation defense.
"We had to do everything clearly, cleanly and beautifully to emphasize the beauty of the model, communication with her is also very important, as well as insubordination. When creating a creative make-up, I chose the Hermitage, the most important museum in our city. The makeup included face art in the form of monograms and stucco made of epoxy resin, a headdress and body art for the integrity of the image."

Student Anastasia Efimova (CES) took silver in the competence "Fashion and accessories design" under the guidance of mentor — teacher Kristina Paramonova. The contestants developed a women's clothing set and an accessory in the form of a bag with the expectation of mass production.
"I have designed a women's set consisting of a jacket with voluminous sleeves in a semi-regular cut, a printed shirt and bell-bottomed trousers in the boho style. My main inspiration was the mythological bird Gamayun from Slavic fairy tales, which was reflected not only in the sleeve shape, but also in the print."

In the field of Fashion Technology, student Vasilisa Krasikova (CES) won a silver medal and also won an internship at the Lady Charm company. Her mentor was Vera Koroleva, a college teacher. Vasilisa recently turned 17, so winning became a serious stage of growing up for her. At the championship, Vasilisa had to make a technical sketch of a skirt and trousers. The technical drawing is accompanied by two graphic explanations in the places of conditional cuts in the form of technological processing schemes (codpiece fastener, pocket). Everything must be done by the contestant competently and accurately.
"In accordance with the task, it was necessary to perform the design and modeling of a one-to-one skirt-trousers, a set of templates, observing all technical conditions, their economical layout and cutting of the product. The next stage is manufacturing. It was also necessary to make a removable accessory for waistwear, I made a belt purse with a creative design. The difficult task was to make a mock-up of a blouse on a mannequin using the mock-up method in accordance with the photo. In the photo, the blouse was of a complex shape, which made it difficult to work, but interesting. I did well, and the experts highly appreciated my skills."

Student Lidia Safrazyan (CTMM), under the guidance of mentor — teacher Marina Krasilnikova, won a bronze medal in the competence "Digital design using a neural network". During the competition days, it was necessary to develop a mobile application, make the layout of an interactive brochure with animation and sound, develop four types of commercial illustrations and a computer game design. Competitive tasks are cases of real organizations and enterprises.
"Participating in the digital design competition turned out to be a real challenge for me. I remember how every time we opened a task, I felt like I was on a presentation — I had to quickly memorize all the details in order to discuss them with my mentor. I gained valuable experience working in non-standard conditions.: tight time limits, lots of restrictions. Sometimes it helped to focus, and sometimes, on the contrary, it complicated the process. But it's moments like this that teach you how to adapt quickly and come up with ideas. My impressions of the contest are positive."

The participants developed various elements of animation design: an intro animation screensaver for a video hosting channel, 3D elements for a screensaver, animation of a fictional logo of an online university school.
"Industrial partners in the championship movement are one of the key roles that accompanies the championships with materials from production for the implementation of products that the contestants receive based on the results of the modules. As an industrial partner, PROMTECHDESIGN University offers the best aspects and formulations to test the skills and abilities of the contestants of the professional skills championship, because it is precisely with the proposed criteria for completing the work that the contestants will face in the future when applying for employment."
