Vasilina Tsibrova, a student of the Department of Information and Control Systems of Ƶ, represented the university in the Crimean Academy of Creative Industries “Meganom”, where the program “Design Lab: Merch - Nonverbal Language of Brand” was held. Within the framework of the program participants together with leading experts in the field of marketing and design went through the whole way of creating merch - from research and formation of the key idea to coordination of the project with the customer. The work on the case will allow the guys to compete for the chance to become the author of merch that will be worn by thousands of people.

The declared cases for development were the brands “Tavrida.ART”, “Russia - the Country of Opportunities”, “GosStart” and “Other Business”. Three teams of Russian students consisting of six people worked on each project: five designers and one marketer.
Vasilina Tsibrova, a student of Ƶ, worked on a case from the brand “Tavrida.ART”. The team was given a brief, which was thoroughly analyzed by young specialists. On its basis the guys made portraits of the target audience, defined the essence and nature of the brand, brand contact points with the audience, as well as selected copywriting, which they planned to use in the merchandise.

Vasilina's team developed three concepts based on the extended brief. They made a presentation of all concepts in front of the client. On the same day, work began on the chosen variant: the carriers were determined, and the design itself was adapted to them.

“Our concept is about the manifestation of ourselves. The work began with the stage of creating sketches, drawings and sketches. We took real photos and schemes as a basis. Having digitized them, we compiled our pattern. Especially we wanted to emphasize the fact that young people today massively show their talents in Tavrida, for this purpose we created a gradient of the signature colors of Tavrida, which are manifested in the pieces of the pattern. The skills and competencies of creative people appear as images in our patterns and sketches, which are constantly being improved. Ultimately a person has the opportunity to fully realize themselves, this philosophy is encapsulated in the colored sections of the pattern. We also put copyright in the design code. Tavrida has a Telegram channel where posts are written backwards. We started to depict copyright on the merch in the same way: texts backwards as an association with the language of creative people”.
