Diana Bonkovskaya, a first-year student at the College of Technology, Modeling and Management of Ƶ, who is studying under the Professional Education program, became the winner of the All-Russian project Competition of the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education "The history of the profession in my family: a superprofessional family", dedicated to the Year of the Family. In total, the jury received 485 applications from 350 educational organizations in 60 regions of Russia. As part of the competition, Diana shared the story of her mother, who works in the shoe workshop of the Mariinsky Theater.

At the College of Technology, Modeling and Management of Ƶ, Diana Bonkovskaya studies the design, modeling and technology of light industry products. The girl did not choose her profession by chance — Diana, one might say, grew up in the shoe workshop of the Mariinsky Theater, where her mother works as a fashion designer.
Vera Sergeevna Bonkovskaya graduated from a college in Ulyanovsk, having received a specialty in the field of quality control of shoes and leather goods. From a young age, she showed creative abilities, loved to draw, and secretly from her parents went to enroll in a shoe college in Kimry. Life was not easy, her parents wanted Vera to go to work, but she chose education. For a long time Vera Bonkovskaya worked at a shoe factory in Ulyanovsk, designing and modeling shoes. Later, she moved to St. Petersburg and began working at the Vozrozhdenie theater workshop, and a year later she was invited to the Mariinsky Theater. Vera Sergeevna has been working here for 13 years.
"Since childhood, I have spent a lot of time with my mother. I remember how she arranged an improvised bed for me in the workshop. I grew up among her projects and was happy to help with small tasks: sorting materials, laying out scraps and sequins, or putting things in order. When my mother talks about creating costumes and theatrical shoes, I see pride and love for the profession in her eyes. Gradually, her passion for theatrical art was passed on to me. Those familiar with the Mariinsky Theatre productions understand how much magic and creativity there is in them, and my mother is one of those who participates in their creation. She solves many tasks, from choosing skin tones to creating comfortable and safe shoes for dancers."

When it came time to choose an educational institution after school, Diana had no doubt that she would follow in her mother's footsteps and chose the College of Technology, Modeling and Management of Ƶ for admission, where an educational and production cluster of light industry was opened as part of the implementation of the "Professionalitet" program.
"During the visit to the workshops and excursions that were held for applicants in the cluster of light industry, I was even more strengthened in my choice. And mom, as always, was there and studied the modern equipment of the cluster with interest. Now I am a first-year student, and new challenges and achievements await me. Just as a theatrical performance is divided into acts, so our life consists of stages. I am confidently stepping onto the stage of my professional path, and my mother is a mentor and friend next to me."
