For the second time the professional contest “ProDvizhenie”, established by Ƶ and dedicated to the International Shoemaker's Day, was held. Within the walls of the university, students demonstrated the collections of shoes and accessories created by them. Today future technologists, designers, fashion designers and specialists of leather goods industry are trained at the Department of Design and Technology of leather goods named after Prof. A.S. Shvarts Ƶ and in the College of Technology, Modeling and Management. It is here that the university has created a cluster of light industry within the framework of the FP “Professionalism”. The purpose of the competition is to revive the tradition of competitions for designers and constructors of leather goods.
“ProDriving” is held in three competition categories. In the category “PRO MASTER” the jury evaluated the professional skills of the participants in the manufacture of products in accordance with the technical task. Participants of the category received instructions, tools, materials and photo models of shoes. They worked on their products in the cluster of light industry of Ƶ, opened by the university within the framework of the FP “Professionalism”. Here the third place was shared by Maria Someroinen and Maria Sorochinskaya, the jury also awarded the first place to two students: Daria Zhetlukhina and Anastasia Chernysheva.
In the PRO PROJECT category, projects of products, assortment or collections developed at the request of industry enterprises were presented. This year's technical specifications were provided by the Kotofey brand. The final sketches were formalized into an exhibition. The works are exhibited in the university “Boiling Point - PromTechDesign”. Here first-year student Alexandra Mikhailova was awarded for her first steps in the profession. Valeria Gulyaeva and Valeria Selyutina were awarded for the best design of school shoes for boys in this category. The absolute winner of the category was recognized Tatiana Latysheva for the best design of nursery shoes.
In the third category “PRO PODIUM” the jury evaluated the collections of footwear, leather goods and accessories. The works of the finalists were presented on the catwalk of “Boiling Point - PromTechDesign” Ƶ. The final gala show included 41 collections: 9 collections of footwear, 24 collections of accessories and 8 collections in the nomination from TM “Kotofey”. In the category “PRO Podium” the jury awarded the third place in the nomination “Footwear” to Valeria Grebenkina, Maria Sorochinskaya and Daria Zhetlukhina. The second place in the same nomination went to Ilya Kolchin. The first place was awarded to Ekaterina Mamaeva. Ekaterina presented her collection “Sea Knot”. The author used a ship's tackle to create shoes.
Elizaveta Smirnova, Sofia Korkishchenko and Sabina Buzoeva took the third place in the nomination “Kotofei”. The second place was awarded to the collection of Asmar Alyeva and Torkachi Enchinova. The jury awarded the first place in the nomination to Evgeniya Tikhomirova. The young designer presented a collection of shoes for teenagers “No roots”, through which the author encourages not to be afraid to experiment and change the world to suit yourself.
In the nomination “Accessories” Maria Illarionova and Alyona Shabalina were awarded the third place for their joint collection “Pink SteamPunk”. The jury awarded the second place to Svetlana Gulyaeva for her collection “Leather and Bones”. First place was awarded to Alina Ismangulova for her collection “Neo Denim”, which was created from recycled old jeans.
Special prize in the form of internship at the factory of “Vostok-Service” company in Torzhok city was given to: Ekaterina Mamaeva, Zlata Meos, Evgeniya Tikhomirova, Valeria Selutina, Valeria Gulyaeva, Maria Sorochinskaya, Vera Nikitina, Daria Zhetlukhina, Maria Baigozina, Valeria Grebenkina. Yevgenia Tikhomirova received a special prize from Karine Manukyan, the creator and head of the atelier producing author's shoes, shoes for cinema and theaters. General Director and founder of VRDY and myStory brands Victor Rozhdestvensky invited the winners of the nomination “Footwear” in the category “PRO PODIUM” to sew their products under the VRDY brand. Irina Moskalchuk, the founder and designer of the leather goods brand Irina Moss, invited Sofia Leontieva for an internship. Yulia Matsko, founder and head of the creative workshop of leather bags, gave internships in her workshop to Veronika Signevich and Victoria Konkova. Olga Rubinskaya, head of the company “Kozha-stil”, presented special prizes to Anton Bazylev, Victoria Konkova, Tatiana Latysheva, Zlata Meos, Svetlana Gulyaeva and Shakhzod Tazhibaev. Special prizes from “Kotofey” brand were awarded to Shakhzod Tazhibaev, Alisa Enikeeva, Ilya Kolchin and Ekaterina Mamaeva.
