PROMTECHDISIGN University was a partner of the National Technological Olympiad

The final of the profile "Scientific Media Communication" was held in the Academy of Digital Technologies of St. Petersburg from April 09 to April 12, 2024.


This year's theme was the technology of virtual clothes fitting. Eight school teams from different parts of the country worked on a media product to talk about the advanced technologies of the fashion industry. The process of producing digital clothes and creating virtual images was introduced to the schoolchildren by employees of the STI Project Office of Ƶ. The finalists were given a tour of the SmartDesign Lab, where they learned about the vearnet market, online shows and meta-universes. Each team performed a scan on a rosta scanner. The participants animated the finished models and placed them in a specially designed interactive website.


One of the tasks of the competition was to create content to cover a given topic and broadcast with speakers. The finalists were interviewed about technologies in the world of fashion by Alyona Kolupayeva, a specialist of the NTI Project Office, and Sofia Zhukova, a master's student of Digital Technologies in the High-Tech Fashion Industry (Fashion Tech).


Participants of STI performed different roles: from 3D-designers and operators to journalists and SMM-specialists. The work resulted in websites, pages in social networks, applications and useful and, most importantly, accessible to a wide audience information about virtual fitting technology.

The National Technological Olympiad (or NTO) has existed since 2015 - it started as the STI Circle Olympiad. Team engineering competitions for schoolchildren and students have turned into a multi-level project that unites a variety of people who are willing and able to solve priority technological challenges facing Russia.

By participating in the STO, schoolchildren and students from all over Russia learn from the best and solve problems set by state companies, leaders of technology industries, and breakthrough technology companies. The participants get acquainted with various fields: from artificial intelligence and smart energy to neurotechnology and genome editing.
