02 April

The XIV International Education Forum has come to an end in the Northern Capital. In total, more than 450 events were organized at various venues of St. Petersburg, and the program included 10 thematic tracks. The youth press center of the International Educational Forum from the University of Industrial Technologies and Design and the Internet magazine "Sarafan" of Ƶ included 25 students. During 5 days the guys actively worked at the sites around the city, filmed 3 video reports, 21 photo reports and wrote 19 articles. The participants' materials were also published on the official website of the Forum and in the official PMOF VKontakte group. Young media professionals shared their impressions of their work at the Forum.

Maria Antonova, Department of Journalism and Media Technologies, Ƶ:

- For me, working in a press center is first and foremost a professional competence. I am studying to be a journalist, and I am really glad that I have the opportunity to study my profile not only in theory, but also in practice. During the forum I wrote two good articles and made a photo report. It showed me how my level has grown from the beginning of my work until today. I am glad that I was able to participate in the youth press center. My portfolio was enriched with good publications and I had a great week.

Ekaterina Blinova, Department of Graphic Design in the Art Space of Ƶ:

- Thanks to the forum, I learned about a lot of interesting events and places we have in our city. I liked the diversity. One day you're at a student performance, the next day you're at a conference for the school's faculty. It was very interesting to learn the intricacies of different educational organizations. Now I recommend everyone to go to free student productions. They are no worse than theater productions with professionals. I worked mainly as a correspondent, but I also wrote articles. I am grateful to all the participants of the forum for their openness and kindness towards the press service: they fed me, invited me to other events and, most importantly, went out of their way to answer all my questions.

Mikhail Sharko, Department of Polygraphic Equipment and Management, Ƶ:

- The event was an exciting immersion into current educational trends. As part of the youth press center, I was involved in creating an exclusive photo report and writing an article. I was particularly impressed with the team I had the opportunity to work with. The organizers demonstrated a high level of responsibility, which is truly admirable. Participation in the youth press center gave me the opportunity not only to cover the event with my professional skills, but also to reveal many interesting aspects that took place at the event.

Alexandra Ostapenko, Department of History and Theory of Art, Ƶ:

- This is the second time I have participated in the St. Petersburg International Education Forum. However, two years ago I presented a research from the school where I studied. Probably for this reason I immediately said "yes" to the idea of becoming a representative of the youth press center. Thanks to my work at this year's forum, I have been to many different places. I enjoyed watching the participants and conference organizers from the outside. The main thing is that the forum gave me the experience I am always after, immersion in unfamiliar topics and new useful acquaintances.

Tatiana Bykanova, Department of Garment Design and Technology, Ƶ:

- I worked at the Forum as a photographer. I was able to attend a conference dedicated to the theme of humanism and a tour of the engineering and technology school, although for me it is definitely the school of the future. I think it was the one I remember most: while traveling through its classrooms, I even thought of becoming a six-year-old girl again and going to school. Working in the press center gave me new experience, because I had not worked at such large-scale events before, and, of course, it brought a lot of fun.
