Ƶ presented the achievements of the light industry cluster to applicants at the forum in St. Petersburg

The University of Industrial Technologies and Design presented the opportunities of the light industry cluster created by the university within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism" at the XIV International Educational Forum in St. Petersburg.



The forum program included almost 500 events: thematic round tables, strategic sessions, conferences, seminars, workshops, master classes, foresight sessions, pedagogical Olympiads, contests, quests, experience presentations. Specialists of Ƶ presented the specialty "Designing, modeling and technology of light industry products manufacturing", which is implemented in the university on the basis of the University College of Technology, Modeling and Management within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism".



The interactive for schoolchildren included an exhibition of student works: bags, shoes and accessories made in the light industry cluster of Ƶ were exhibited. Ambassadors of the federal project - college students of Ƶ told schoolchildren about the advantages of education, employment opportunities, handed out information materials, familiarized them with video presentations.



The university specialists also presented the possibilities of the cluster's additive technologies laboratory, where shoes, bags, pads and orthopedic insoles made of special polymers are printed thanks to Russian ZAV 3D printers.

"The domestic printer has a large printing area that allows us to create life-size heels, lasts and entire shoe products. The print head moves on rails, which gives the structure stability and allows it to maintain high print quality. The closed, robust design also contributes to the quality of the product. The high speed of printing also plays an important role. And the most interesting thing is that the cluster prints not only lasts, soles or heels, but also finished products - shoes, boots or even boots, combining high fashion and high technology," specialists of the St. Petersburg university told the applicants.
