The winners of the All-Russian Social Advertising Competition "Make the World a Better Place!" Were awarded at St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design. More than 500 authors participated in the competition. Ƶ students won victorious places by presenting posters in various nominations to the jury.
The team of students of the College of Technology, Modeling and Management of Ƶ, consisting of Alina Dolocheeva and Violetta Seledtsova, won second place in the nomination "Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia," category "poster." In the center of the composition are five figures in national costumes representing different regions of Russia. They are shown from the back, which symbolizes the general movement forward. Hugs "shoulder to shoulder" convey the idea of support and unity.
The background is complemented by architectural images that convey the scale of the country - from Moscow and St. Petersburg to remote regions. The color scheme includes shades of the national flag that combine the composition. The poster emphasizes that people, their culture and traditions are behind the greatness of the country.
"The work reflects the idea of centuries-old life of more than 190 peoples in our country. The meaning is revealed through the slogan "Unity begins with respect." Personal participation in this topic was of particular importance to us: we represent different nationalities - one of us is Russian, the other is Tatar. Despite the differences, we learn, interact and support each other together, which makes the idea of unity especially close and significant for us. Participation in the competition has become a valuable experience: we were able to reveal the topic deeper, work with the idea and composition, as well as gain new skills," the authors share.
Emilyana Lenskaya-Chumachenko, a student at the Institute of Spatial Environment Design, Ƶ, took second place in the nomination "Make the world a better place," category "poster." The central visual metaphor of the project was the image of hands carefully holding the key symbols of Russian culture.
"In my work, I wanted to convey that the cultural code of the country is not just a set of traditions, but the living memory of the people, their soul. It seems to me that in the modern world it is the preservation of heritage that becomes the key to the future. I love contests where you can test yourself, get the opinion of professionals and be inspired by the works of other participants. Therefore, the decision to participate in the competition was made unconditionally," says Emilyana.
Daria Anisimova, a student at the College of Technology, Modeling and Management of Ƶ, took third place in the nomination among students "Family Values," category "poster."
"I showed one simple but very important truth of family relationships. It depicts two families in a picturesque manner against a pink and brown background. On the left is a more sophisticated, noble family, a family with two children, on the right is a large family with many children, but the lowest in status.
In the center there is an inscription: "It doesn't matter what kind of family, the main thing is that it be friendly!," Which once again emphasizes the idea of mutual understanding, love and cohesion, regardless of the composition and status of the family," comments Daria.
The faces of the characters are not drawn, attention is focused on their unity and interaction. As the author says, the example was inspired by the technique of "depersonalizing the main characters" and avant-garde art.
