Living memory in the heart of the university: veterans and residents of besieged Leningrad became guests of honor of Ƶ

The solemn reception of veterans and residents of besieged Leningrad - teachers and employees of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design - by the administration and students of the university took place in the main building of Ƶ in honor of Victory Day.

The veterans were greeted by rector Alexei Demidov, president of the Ƶ university Viktor Romanov, first vice-rector, vice-rector for academic affairs Alexander Rudin. Among the guests of honor - Elena Tikhomirova - a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a resident of besieged Leningrad, chairman of the St. Petersburg public organization "Residents of besieged Leningrad," an honorary citizen of St. Petersburg, a confidant of Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections in March 2024.

At the festive concert, songs of the war years sounded, inspiring the fighters at the front and supporting faith in Victory. Students, members of the Headquarters of Ƶ "Victory Volunteers" provided assistance to veterans. The concert began with a theatrical prologue, which from the first minutes touched the thinnest strings of the soul of each viewer. Excerpts from an interview with the Ƶ project "Plots" gave the concert special depth: footage with real stories of people who survived the Great Patriotic War and the blockade of Leningrad became the voice of living memory, which did not leave anyone indifferent. The musical decoration was the numbers of the Katyusha student choral group, the vocal group SPBand: powerful voices and incredible energy united students in a single patriotic impulse.

The reception ended with tears in his eyes with the general performance of the song "Victory Day" together with the soloist and the head of the student choir Mikhail Pastukhov.
