The University of Industrial Technologies and Design discussed modern strategies for training people with disabilities and persons with disabilities. The event was held as part of the business program of the XI regional championship in professional skills "Abilimpix." Experts also appreciated the development of the competition in the higher education system.
Anastasia Ivanova, head of the regional center for the development of the Abilimpix movement in St. Petersburg, addressed the participants:
"Great attention is paid to attracting student participants to the championship movement. On the part of the organizers, we also strive to expand the number of competencies, especially those taught only in higher education. Ƶ has been actively involved in the Abilimpix organization for several years. Every year, students and alumni participate and perform well regionally and nationally."
During the round table, experts discussed inclusive vocational education based on the results of federal monitoring of open source software. Irina Yanyk, director of the scientific and methodological resource center for inclusive and dual education at St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, head of the permanent commission of the Council of Rectors of Universities of the Northwestern Federal District on inclusive education, believes that the inclusive potential of the university is closely related to colleges. In her opinion, thanks to seamless training, students can begin to master the selected competence, and then either continue their studies in it at the university, or change their profile. It is also important to explain to potential participants the goals and objectives of the championship.
"We strive to tell each participant in the championship that Abilimpix is a platform for developing a portfolio. Six years ago, we took the challenge of motivating students as a challenge. In the XI season, a large number of students of the University of PromTechDesign try themselves in several competencies. It is important to help students manifest themselves," explained Irina Yanyk.
The experts also exchanged views on the development of the Abilimpix expert community in St. Petersburg, the championship expert consulting program, the possibilities of training university students within the framework of the curriculum disciplines, and discussed the experience of the successfully developing Massage competence.
The roundtable participants visited the exhibition of table career guidance games for preschool children with disabilities "From fairy tale to profession." The games were made by design students of the College of Technology, Modeling and Management of Ƶ. The International Center for the Training and Development of Masseurs has demonstrated the competitive competence "Massage."
The round table ended with a tour of the creative sites of Ƶ, where Abilimpix participants representing the University of Industrial Technologies and Design are trained during the inter-championship period.
