St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design has become the winner of the federal competitive selection of the NTI Platform and received a grant for the organization and implementation of the acceleration program of the new season.
In 2026, 151 startup accelerators will be launched across Russia as part of the federal Technology project. The Promtechnesign Ƶ program is one of them. The victory in the selection confirms the university's status as part of a large state strategy to achieve Russia's technological sovereignty.
In the fall of 2026, a new, large-scale program for project teams will be launched at Ƶ. An important point is that this year all programs will work according to the new model of sovereign acceleration. Her philosophy is not the "survival of the fittest" out of thousands of applications, but the systematic nurturing of all truly motivated teams. The goal is to help every promising idea in priority technologies and industries.
The topics and directions of the projects are narrowing with an emphasis on technological efficiency: solutions for preventive and personalized medicine, new materials, technologies for the production of low-tonnage chemicals, including high-purity substances for pharmaceuticals, energy and microelectronics, and AI technologies. There are also solutions for adaptation to climate change, forecasting the state of the environment, including areas of the World Ocean, the seas of Russia, the Arctic and Antarctica. This will also include startups in the field of emergency prevention, as well as reducing anthropogenic pressure on nature.
