The traditional concert of the Opera laureates was held in the Rotunda of the Mariinsky Palace with great success. & The podium." This creative alliance, implemented in partnership between two leading universities in St. Petersburg - the University of Industrial Technologies and Design and the St. Petersburg Rimsky—Korsakov State Conservatory, once again demonstrated the synthesis of high art and modern fashion design technologies.
A special moment of the evening was the presentation of a Special Prize of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg. This award and the honorary right to perform on stage were awarded to the student team involved in staging a scene from Prokofiev's grand opera War and Peace.
The brilliant tailcoats and exquisite ball gowns for the opera characters were created by students of the Department of Design and Technology of Sewing Products of Ƶ. Students and graduates of the Engineering School of Clothing (college) were responsible for the impeccable visual embodiment of images, including makeup and complex hairstyles.
The ceremony was opened by Anastasia Melnikova, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, Honored Artist of Russia. She addressed the participants with warm words of support, noting that "holding such events cannot fail to impress and delight, confirming that talented, creative youth who love the history and culture of Russia are growing in our city." On behalf of the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, A. N. Belsky, she conveyed an official greeting to all the organizers, participants and guests of the event.
The concert was held in a single creative breath. The unique acoustics of the Rotunda gave the vocalists' voices a special volume and beauty, and the play of light and bold directorial decisions enhanced the dramatic effect. The costumes and hairstyles in the historical interiors of the palace looked so organic that the audience and the artists traveled through time together, finding themselves at an exquisite ball of the 19th century.
