On October 31, 2025, a study tour to the fortress city of Kronstadt took place, organized for first-year students of the Department of Tourism Business. The event was held by second-year students under the guidance of Professor of the Department, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Victoria Leonidovna Pogodina.
The tour program included visits to key attractions with significant tourist and recreational potential: the Museum of Naval Glory, the Tree of Desires monument, the historical center of the city, as well as the Zapadny Kotlin Nature Reserve.

The acquaintance with the peculiarities of the area began with a guided tour conducted by Professor V. L. Pogodina. At the first point of the route, at the Museum of Naval Glory, the second-year students put their knowledge into practice, exploring together with the first-year students the interactive possibilities of the museum to assess the tourist and resource potential. A tour of the Alley of Heroes was also organized by the students.
During the further route, the group made a stop at the Italian Palace, where the participants got acquainted with the elements of the fortification system of the Kronstadt Fortress and the history of the city. The tour continued with a walking tour of the central part of Kronstadt, during which second-year students practiced their sightseeing skills at such sites as the Blue Bridge, the Mareograph, the footstock, the monument to Pakhtusov, Petrovsky Dock, Anchor Square and the Naval Cathedral.

The urban part of the program ended at Anchor Square, from where the group headed to the Tree of Desires monument, a traditional place for students to visit the department.
The final stage of the trip was a visit to the Zapadny Kotlin Nature Reserve, which combines natural landscapes and historical sites such as the Shanets Fort. The participants walked along an ecological trail, climbed an ornithological tower, and also discussed their impressions of the tour during a joint tea party.
