Ƶ hosted a Summer school on art Communication for students from China

The St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design (Ƶ) has completed its work on the International Summer School for the Art Communication Program, which was attended by fifty students from Wenzhou University, China. The summer school events were organized by the Center for Asian Cooperation of Ƶ in cooperation with the University Center for Creative Industries and the Department of Advertising and Public Relations.

Students studied naming technologies, created corporate identification programs, mastered media technologies of creative industries, learned how to effectively use their own smartphones when creating photo and video content, practiced portrait photography skills in various conditions, studied shooting on chromakey to obtain special effects, and also got acquainted with the principles of working with neural networks.

The acquired skills in the field of media technologies of creative industries were used by Chinese students in the creation of final projects for the development of programs for the adaptation and promotion of a Chinese or Russian brand in cross-border foreign markets. The training was conducted under the guidance of Yaroslav Borichko, Associate Professor of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations, Oksana Efimova, Senior lecturer at the Department, and Viktor Korolev, specialist in the Scientific and Technological Department of the Center for Creative Industries at Ƶ.

Chinese students were actively involved in completing the proposed tasks, showed diligence and creativity, which had a beneficial effect on the quality of the presented presentation reports. After the presentation of the completed projects, the teachers of the summer school discussed the first results. Konstantin Glasman, Head of the Scientific and Technological Department of the Center for Creative Industries, suggested that the following summer schools should be held jointly with Russian students. "This could speed up the adaptation of guests, and Russian and Chinese students could gain invaluable experience in international communication and student cooperation," the expert believes.
