St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design is once again welcoming partners from China. This time, the university was visited by representatives of the delegation from Liaoning University of Technology. The meeting was held in a solemn atmosphere, and the parties discussed joint projects and signed a cooperation agreement, laying the foundation for academic and scientific collaboration.
Today, Liaoning University of Technology, with its 24 institutes, 2,100 faculty members, and over 1,000 scientific publications per year, is ranked among the top 20 universities by ESI (2024). The key areas of development are light industry, IT, innovative materials, and design.
The Chinese delegation was led by the university's rector, Mr. Ma Xuquan. The representatives of the Liaoning University highly appreciated the hospitality of the host country, as many of them had made their first visit to Russia.
During the meeting, members of the Chinese delegation spoke about their university, noting that strengthening Chinese-Russian relations is one of their key priorities. The university's rector, Professor Ma Xuquan, expressed his hope that "the friendship between our universities will be as eternal as the flow of the Neva River." The discussion was characterized by a spirit of mutual understanding and openness. The parties outlined steps to develop joint programs, ranging from academic exchanges to scientific research. The signed agreement is the first but important step towards long-term and fruitful cooperation.
