The immersive fashion show "Pushkin Ball 3.0" of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design was held in the multimedia space of Lumion with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. The spectacular show, inspired by the works of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, was created using 360° technology and a combination of live fashion show with digital elements, which were developed by students of Ƶ.
Before the University of Industrial Technologies and Design stood the task of developing digital models from scratch — analogs of dresses designed by the university graduate Olga Malyarova for the accompaniment of a real show.
"Olga created the garments using the draping method without pre-prepared templates, so the digital designers relied on photos and videos of the models to recreate the dresses. The fundamentals of the items were developed in a special program: the details were drawn by hand (analogous to how Olga's team works), as well as using ready-made basic patterns. The dresses consist of a large number of additional details, such as feathers, each of which was individually 'sewn' in the program," — says project curator Alena Kolupaeva.
