Students of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design Andrey Ivanov and Rodion Roslovets have developed an intelligent assessment system based on a given set of indicators. The service has already proven its effectiveness at a number of competitions, festivals and conferences.
The startup was named "SmartOtsenka". Its authors are studying at the university in the profile of . The development of IT students allows jury members (experts) to reflect the differences in the significance of individual indicators taken into account during assessment.
"Event organizers have the opportunity to set a number of priorities for indicators in advance, which must be taken into account by jury members. At the same time, the degree of agreement of the jury members' opinions both in general and on individual indicators is easily and clearly verified," the authors of the startup comment.
The advantage of the new service is that it eliminates errors and speeds up the summing up, does not require paper forms and calculations in Excel, is easily adapted to a variety of events, has a convenient and intuitive interface for the user, has a web version and as a mobile application.
“The users of our product are the organizers of festivals, competitions, olympiads, schools, colleges, universities, organizing committees of exhibitions, pitches, hackathons and creative events, funds and grant structures, HR departments and corporate universities,” the startuppers add.
The students developed the service together with the head of the mathematics department of Ƶ Nikolay Rozhkov and associate professor of the department Natalia Merzlyakova, who proposed an original mathematical algorithm, which was used as the basis for the development.
