18 July

Today, the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design (Ƶ) was visited by more than 120 delegations from universities and research institutes in Russia. More than 230 guests, representatives of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, arrived in St. Petersburg to participate in a seminar on the transition to the presentation of accounting data in the Unified Technological Platform of the GIIS EB, which was held in the concert hall of Ƶ.

The relevance of discussing the transition to a new platform by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation is related to the need to modernize the data management system and increase its efficiency. The current methods may not meet the modern requirements for speed and accuracy of information processing, according to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The discussion is important to coordinate technical and organizational aspects, assess risks, and prepare users for the changes, which will ultimately ensure a smooth and successful transition to the new technology.

The seminar was moderated by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation: Nelly Delikova, Acting Director and Deputy Director of the Financial Department, and Elena Artemenko; Alexey Demidov, Rector of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, and Irina Abramova, Vice-Rector for Financial Affairs; Alexander Albychev, Deputy Head of the Federal Treasury, Venera Morozova, Head of the Centralized Accounting Department, and Mikhail Deldinov, Deputy Head of the Information Systems Development Department; and Mikhail Viderman, CEO of Artifex-2 LLC.

At the seminar, they highlighted the advantage of the Unified Technology Platform of the GIIE B for data provision: it will become a single point of access to aggregated and standardized information, which will ensure high-speed access to analytical information from the data. Currently, reports are generated once a quarter, which slows down the decision-making process. In contrast, thanks to the technological integration model with the new platform, data will be updated and available for analysis on a weekly basis. This will allow the agency to identify trends, errors, and risks in accounting much more quickly, as well as to respond promptly to changes in the financial situation and obtain analytical information from accounting data. This regularity and speed of access to data will significantly improve the quality and efficiency of financial analysis and management, as well as simplify the collection, processing, and analysis of accounting data, eliminating duplication and errors that may occur when working with disparate sources. The platform will enable the agency to conduct a more in-depth and faster analysis of the financial situation, identify anomalies, and predict budgetary needs, which will improve the quality of management decisions.
