Developments of the scientists of Ƶ are presented at the exhibition “Composite-Expo 2025”
18 April

The scientists of the chair of nanostructured, fibrous and composite materials named after A.I. Meos of Ƶ presented their developments at the only in Russia specialized exhibition “Composite-Expo 2025”, devoted to composite materials, technologies and equipment.

The scientists of the chair of nanostructured, fibrous and composite materials named after A.I. Meos of Ƶ Natalia Lukicheva, Olga Gladunova, Nadezhda Diankina, Ekaterina Shirshova, Alexander Bezrukov and Stanislav Talvinsky visited the exhibition stands of the leading enterprises of the industry in the field of development of raw materials and equipment for the production of composite materials.

Within the framework of the exhibition a number of business events took place in which the scientists of Ƶ took part: the round table “Perspective composite materials for different branches of industry: present and future”, the traditional conference “Practical aspects of application of composite materials in different branches of industry” and the three-day large-scale business event organized by the company “Tatneft-Presscomposite” - the conference “COMPOSITES ON 360”.

The delegation of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design presented its own developments to the participants of the exhibition. Great interest among the representatives of the industry caused: samples of multilayer carbon thermal protection; samples of artificial stone containing along with traditional filler, waste polyethylene terephthalate, from which different types of containers are produced; samples of carbon fibers from an alternative precursor (heat-resistant polyoxadiazole polymer); sorbents containing carbon nanoparticles; prototype of washable tooling for manufacturing products by winding; samples of composite materials from fibers of thermoplastic polymer and thermoplastic polymer.

Attention was also drawn to the “artificial soil” created by scientists of Ƶ on the basis of polyacrylonitrile fibers and polyvinyl alcohol. Special interest to it is connected with the expansion of programs in the field of Arctic and space exploration.

The delegation of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design reached agreements with representatives of specialized enterprises on conducting excursions to production facilities and internships for students. The employers were interested in the graduates of the department of nanostructured, fibrous and composite materials named after A.I. Meos of Ƶ, as well as in the programs of additional education and advanced training courses in the field of technologies of composite materials manufacturing.

Besides, the scientists of the university were invited as participants to the 21st International Interindustry Exhibition of technical textiles, composite materials, polymers and equipment for their production and processing “Techtechtile, Techcomposite, Techpolymer”, which will be held in September this year in Moscow.
