In the Institute of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment, created in 2024 in the structure of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design under the auspices of Rostrud, started the advanced training program “Russian language as a means of intercultural communication” for employees of the Ministry of Labor of Burkina Faso.
The training became possible due to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on labor inspection issues between the Federal Service for Labor and Employment and the Ministry of Public Service of Labor and Social Protection of Burkina Faso.
The first group of 10 specialists has already started training. The program is designed for 216 hours and includes both distance and face-to-face modules. The training is aimed at training personnel to further master modern Russian methods in the field of labor rights protection and employment promotion. Upon its completion, graduates will be able to interact more productively with Russian experts.
“The program is designed so that the trainees, upon completion of the training, can not only speak Russian, but can speak competently on professional topics. Therefore, sections and topics devoted to labor protection and various aspects of professional activities of federal service inspectors are included”, - said Natalia Klimova, vice-rector for development of educational programs of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.
The training of specialists from Burkina Faso has become part of the expanding cooperation between the two countries.
