A student of the Ƶ created a brandbook for the Sergei Yesenin Museum-Reserve for the poet's anniversary

Ariana Prokopyeva, a student at the Institute of Graphic Design at the Ƶ, developed the YESENIN 130 YEARS brandbook for the Sergei Yesenin State Museum-Reserve in the village of Konstantinovo, Ryazan Region. In honor of the anniversary date, events dedicated to the Russian poet will be held throughout 2025 in the spaces of the museum and its partners. The brandbook of a student at the University of Industrial Technology and Design is used to design the anniversary program and release a souvenir line.

"In 2025, Russia will celebrate the 130th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin's birth. The Museum-Reserve in the village of Konstantinovo is the birthplace of the poet, one of the largest and most frequently visited literary and memorial museums in our country. By the anniversary year, the museum needed an updated design that would be used throughout the year at events in the museum space and in projects with other cultural institutions in Ryazan. As part of my graduation project, I agreed to cooperate with the museum, which resulted in the creation of a brandbook with the constants of the new corporate identity and a guide on their use."

Ariana's brandbook "YESENIN 130 YEARS OLD" is not just a set of rules, but a guide to the world of Yesenin's poetry. The design solutions presented in it are inspired by images from the poet's works, his color painting, and associations with the nature of his native village. The project manager was Angelina Ilyina, Senior lecturer at the Department of Advertising Design at the Ƶ.

At the end of March, in the Central library of the Ryazan region, the Library named after Gorky, the opening of the Yesenin Year took place, where Elena Rokhlina, Minister of Culture of the Ryazan Region, and Vyacheslav Zhuravlev, director of the Sergei Yesenin Museum-Reserve, performed. The event was designed by the museum's designers based on the brandbook created by a student of Ƶ.

"Ariana contacted the museum and said that she would like to do something meaningful for her beloved poet and her beloved region. The brandbook developed by her will become one of the ways of our visual communication that unites events within the framework of the Year of Yesenin. In total, 130 events will be held at the site of the museum and its partners."

"The search for stylistics was very long and difficult, since Yesenin himself is an ambiguous person – a poet, a bully, a lyricist, a dandy. Many design solutions have been created, varying in message and mood. After all, it was necessary to take into account the poet's early years, which he spent in his native village. This is how the project concept turned out to be lyrical in colors. The graphics are based on the image of a birch tree, a symbol of Russia, as Yesenin wrote, "the country of birch calico." In addition, birch is a direct association with the nature of Konstantinovo. The logo also repeats the vertical rhythm of the birches, and some of the letters in it are rebellious and hooligan, matching the poet himself."
