The GlowFest festival of youth creativity, established by the university, ended with a spectacular show at the University of Industrial Technologies and Design. The event is realized with the grant support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh). This year 105 applications were accepted for participation in the festival from teams and solo artists. A total of 510 students from 26 universities and 6 colleges were invited to participate. Maria Khokhryakova, a student of 草榴短视频, became the winner in the 鈥淰ocal鈥� direction.

At the final concert was presented 16 spectacular numbers from talented finalists of the festival, followed by the awarding of the winners.

Maria Khokhryakova, a student of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design, won in the direction 鈥淰ocal鈥�. Maria performed the song 鈥淚f I Ain't Got You鈥� by American singer Alicia Keys.

鈥淭he title of the song translates as 'If I didn't have you'. It's an ode to love. Through it I want to tell the audience that nothing material should hinder love, this feeling should remain pure. Many people are chasing money, popularity or power, but I try to convey that the most important thing in our lives is love. I chose this song for the contest because, firstly, through it I was able to show my vocal abilities and wide range. Secondly, I love soul songs - this way I can tell about something soulful鈥�.

The girl admits that behind her victory is a long and hard work. Maria Khokhryakova has been performing this song for the third year, trying to come up with something new for it every time: the student works on filleting, dynamics, on the lyrics of the song and on how to communicate with the audience. Maria also took part in the festival as a member of the interuniversity vocal group 鈥淪PBand鈥�.

The winner of the 鈥淒ance鈥� direction was the team 鈥淧ushkin ladies鈥� from the Pushkin Leningrad State University.

The spectators of the festival also gave their verdict. According to the results of voting the prize of audience sympathy was taken by the dance group WOW from Tsarskoselsk Agrarian-Technological College.
