Together with the famous photographer Oleg Zotov and with the support of Leonid Pasechnik, the head of the LNR, a photo exhibition was inaugurated in Lugansk as part of the 鈥淪WOi Faces鈥� project.

A special event at the event was the presentation of a painting by Liza Anisimova, a student of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, entitled 鈥淪oledar. November 2022鈥�, created with the assistance of the Svoye Vremya Charitable Foundation. The center of the painting is Hero of Russia Alexei Khimenko, who comes from the town of Bryanka, LNR. During the fighting for Soledar, Alexei received the 鈥淕old Star鈥� of the Hero from the hands of the President. Then he single-handedly stopped the enemy breakthrough.

Lisa decided to make a special installation under the working title 鈥淪oledar. November 2022.鈥� First, photos were taken, then they were printed on canvas, which was then finalized by the artist. The painting was donated to the Lugansk Museum of Local Lore.

The photo works presented at the exhibition depict servicemen of the Russian army, legendary commanders, who have more than one liberated settlement under their belt, those who stand in defense of Donbass from the very beginning of hostilities, clergymen, medics who save lives both in the rear and on the front line, ordinary civilians of frontline territories. Many of the shots were taken close to the line of contact.

Lugansk became the first city in which it was held and the starting point for traveling all over Russia to tell about the courage and fortitude of our defenders. The exhibition is housed at the Matusovsky Academy in Lugansk and will be open to the public until March 06, 2025.

The project takes place within the framework of the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland in order to preserve historical memory and recognize the feat of the participants of the special military operation, as well as all those who help them.
