Dear teachers, students, employees of the University!

The passing year of 2024 was full of important events, in it we achieved significant results that will play a serious role in the coming years. We continue to work on the federal project “Professionalism” with the light industry cluster on the basis of our College of Technology, Modeling and Management. We are implementing four strategic projects under the federal program of state support for universities “Priority - 2030” and are among 106 leading Russian universities. We have over 25,000 students, and together with Polytechnic and St. Petersburg State University we are among the three largest universities in St. Petersburg. Many events marked the year 2024, including new educational programs, the work of our now twelve dissertation councils, and an increase in the number of research agreements. There was a significant graduation in terms of the number of students, as well as the traditionally successful admission to the first year, when we were once again the first in the country to enroll students in all 100% of the budget places of the first year on August 4, and the total number of students enrolled in our university exceeded 6 thousand. This year brought the next victories of our sports teams - boxers, soccer players, men's and women's basketball teams. The university's “Boiling Points”, the Museum of Sporting Glory and the modern design space “Coordinate” have been busy. Since the end of 2023, the centralization of university accounting began in the country, and our university worked on this pilot project throughout 2024. We also tackled the tasks of digitalization of curricula and transformation of management processes. Since this year, the Institute of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment, whose directorate is located in our building at 27 Millionnaya Street, has been working as part of our university. In addition, we continue to help the frontline in Donbass.

In the coming year 2025, we will have to consolidate on the milestones we have achieved and realize new serious tasks and goals. I believe that we will be able to cope!
