Delegation of Ƶ presented the university at the IV Congress of Young Scientists in Sochi

Delegation of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design took part in the key event of 2024 within the Decade of Science and Technology, announced by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation in order to strengthen the role of science and technology in solving the most important problems of development of society and the country - IV Congress of Young Scientists in Sochi.


Delegation of the university at the Congress was represented by Vice-Rector for the development of educational programs of Ƶ Natalia Klimova, Deputy Head of the Department of Monitoring of research and contracts Victoria Wagner, Director of Business Incubator Alexandra Chaikovskaya, Head of the Department of Engineering Graphics and Computer Aided Design Nikolai Midukov and postgraduate student of the Department of Environmental Protection and Rational Use of Natural Resources Daria Mazurik.


Representatives of Ƶ participated in sessions, including those devoted to project financing tools, grant support, expert sessions, discussions, where speakers shared their experience and presented the results of their research. Among the key issues highlighted were the problems of science development under sanctions, cooperation between Russian scientists and specialists from BRICS countries, the role of interaction between schools, universities and employers in the training of technological leadership specialists.


“Of particular interest to us were the discussions on the application of artificial intelligence in education and science. We discussed the soft skills of researchers and scientists, how and where it is possible to form them, talked about critical technologies and changing historical orders”.

The Congress serves as a platform for dialogue between advanced and fundamental science, governmental authorities, the real sector of the economy and sets the main vectors of scientific and technological development of Russia. In 2024, it united representatives of 62 countries and 500 universities. And the BRICS Forum of Young Scientists, held as part of the Congress, has 180 delegates - the largest number of participants in the history of its existence. This is due to new member states joining the international association: since the beginning of the year, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, UAE and Saudi Arabia have joined BRICS.
