Delegation of Ƶ took part in the Russia-Indonesia symposium

Representatives of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design took part in the symposium “Russia-Indonesia” of the PERMIRA Association. The delegation of Ƶ proposed a number of initiatives in the field of teaching foreign languages and cooperation with Indonesian colleagues, as well as concluded a partnership agreement in the field of student internships with the international company “Vikonn”, which deals with international markets and imports.

The Symposium was inaugurated by the welcoming speech of Valery Radchenko, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in St. Petersburg and President of the Association of Industrial Enterprises of St. Petersburg, and Igor Bondarchuk, Head of the Department for Relations with International Organizations of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg. Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus Berlian Helmi conveyed the greetings of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia Jose Tavares to all the participants and highly appreciated the work of the symposium. The key topics of discussion were the prospects of student exchange programs, innovative projects in the spheres of economy and creation of bilateral programs for students and teachers of Russia and Indonesia.

Among the teachers, the University of Industrial Technologies and Design was represented by Anna Chakhoyan and Olga Egorova, teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages in Professional Activity, who presented the innovative educational initiatives of the university, as well as Pavel Shikov, professor of the Department of Economics and Finance, who shared with foreign colleagues the possibilities of cooperation in the field of science.

Ilya Sinitsyn, a student of the Institute of Economics and Social Technologies of Ƶ , an intern at the University Center for International Youth Projects and Initiatives, was also invited to participate in the event to exchange experience with members of the Indonesian Students Association “PERMIRA”. Ilya took part in the international cultural exchange program AFC, within the framework of which he lived in the USA for a year, graduated from the School of Grant Literacy and Project Activities of Ƶ, as well as the accelerator program of the University 2035, during which he was part of a team that developed a marketing strategy for the brand “River Pearl”. In addition, the student made a report at the international forum “St. Petersburg - City of Discoveries. Open University as a platform for international cooperation in culture, science and education”. Ilya is studying international business at the university.

Ksenia Kaisheva, Acting Head of the Department of Foreign Languages in Professional Activity and Director of the Center for International Youth Projects and Initiatives of Ƶ, came up with an initiative to supplement the discipline “Foreign Language in Professional Activity” with practice-oriented training implemented jointly with Indonesian partners. The initiative included the introduction of research and project tracks, allowing Master's students from both countries to work together during the semester and effectively develop foreign language competencies. The proposal was widely supported. The symposium participants also agreed to organize seasonal schools for teachers and students with the opportunity to participate in educational sessions in St. Petersburg and the Indonesian Islands.

As a result of the symposium, the delegation of Ƶ signed an agreement on the students' industrial and pre-graduation internships in the international company “Vikonn” Ltd., agreed on the initiative to prepare graduate qualification works by students of the university on the assignment of the management of “Vikonn” in the field of development of the target market, market capacity analysis, development of marketing strategy of the international company, marketing research of the market, development of the strategy of the company's entry into the international market, analysis of socio-economic characteristics of the international market, analysis of the social and economic characteristics of the company. The company is also waiting for graduates who studied international business, enterprise economics, marketing, finance and credit, digital economy and business analytics at the University of Industrial Technology and Design for employment.

In addition, Natalia Prokazova, CEO of Vikonn LLC, was invited as a speaker to participate in the “Boiling Points - PromTechDesign” event of Ƶ. The expert will tell the students and postgraduates of the Department of Economics and Finance and the Department of Foreign Languages about the methods of international trade in the world market in 2024, namely E-COM marketplaces and artificial intelligence.
