On October 19, 2024, the Ƶ light industry cluster opened its doors to applicants. About 350 schoolchildren and their parents took part in career—oriented interactive events on this day, which took place in the laboratories and workshops of the cluster equipped with advanced equipment - this is how the Unified Open Day of the federal project "Professionalism" was held.
According to tradition, professional tests were organized for schoolchildren, within the framework of which the children could feel like designers, designers and technologists, as well as get acquainted with the laboratories of the cluster. In the design laboratory, applicants were shown the work of 3D scanning technologies, as well as the process of creating digital human avatars using a domestic Texel growth scanner and 3D-printed shoes, pads, bags and accessories for them.

Another memorable interactive experience was working with real leather, in which students tried themselves as designers and created their first products — their own shoes in miniature. The ambassadors of "Professionalitet" also took part in this professional test, who acted as the technical control department and assessed the quality of products created by applicants.

"Today we were shown the technologies that are used to create shoes and bags. I remember the shoes printed on a 3D printer, at first we didn't even believe that shoes could be printed. My classmates and I also liked making key rings out of leather, which we took with us as a keepsake. Therefore, I will definitely remember this day. And I was very interested in studying in the cluster".
