Cooperation between Ƶ and institutes of Uzbekistan will lead to the creation of advanced engineering schools

St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design hosted a delegation from the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry and the Namangan Institute of Textile Industry.


During the visit, issues of comprehensive development of partnerships were discussed, which will result in the creation of a joint advanced engineering school. The parties noted their readiness to organize joint production, research practices and internships for students, teachers and staff. The implementation of additional professional education programs was also discussed separately.


Also, representatives of the Tashkent and Namangan Institutes visited the SmartDesign cluster, opened by the university within the framework of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation "Priority 2030" program, and the spaces included in it: The boiling point of industrial technology design, the space of modern design "Coordinate", the Laboratory of virtual fashion and digital design, as well as the educational and production center of SPbGUPTD, focused on the production of shoes and leather goods. In the future, it is possible to create international industrial, scientific and educational clusters of textile and light industry, created by the University of Industrial Technology and Design together with institutes of Uzbekistan.



Our university has long-standing scientific, educational and cultural ties with specialized institutes of the textile and light industry of Uzbekistan. There is close cooperation at the level of departments and teachers. Today we aim to expand the formats and types of interaction, which in turn will lead to the creation of a joint advanced engineering school."

Cooperation between St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, Tashkent and Namagan Institutes is aimed at developing the scientific, innovative and human resources potential of the textile and light industries of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Such a partnership will expand the educational opportunities of students and will allow them to achieve better results in the field of textile and light industry.
