Associate Professor of the A.I. Meos Chair of Nanostructured Fibrous and Composite Materials of Ƶ, Candidate of Technical Sciences Valentina Khokhlova became the winner of the All-Russian contest “Golden Names of Higher School” from the Interregional Public Organization “League of Higher School Teachers”. This year the contest united 1224 participants from 75 regions of Russia. According to the results of the contest, the expert jury recognized 259 teachers as winners in 10 nominations. Associate Professor of St. Petersburg State University of Higher Education won in the nomination “For devotion to the profession and continuation of traditions of the Russian higher school”. The awarding of the winners will take place on November 19 in Moscow in the building of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
Valentina Khokhlova's life has been connected with the University of Industrial Technologies and Design since 1959. During this time Valentina Alexandrovna passed the way from a student and postgraduate student to the head of the problem laboratory of the department of nanostructured fiber and composite materials named after A.I. Meos of Ƶ, associate professor and deputy head of the department for academic work.
At present Valentina Aleksandrovna Khokhlova is the author of more than 180 scientific publications, 15 author's certificates and more than 30 educational and methodological developments. Associate Professor is the main developer and head of educational programs of the University in the direction of “Chemical Technology” for bachelors of the profile “Nanoengineering, composites and biomaterials” and masters of the profile “Technology of obtaining polymer composite and nanocomposite materials”. Valentina Alexandrovna continues to work on her own scientific research in the field of obtaining and studying biologically active fibrous materials for medical purposes. Many of her developments are implemented in production.
In addition, Associate Professor heads the Council of Veterans of the Institute of Applied Chemistry and Ecology Ƶ, participates in the preparation and organization of commemorative events, as well as in the work of the Trade Union of Ƶ. Valentina Khokhlova has more than 20 awards, commendations and insignia for many years of conscientious work, great contribution to the training and education of highly qualified engineering and scientific personnel. Valentina Khokhlova is truly devoted to her profession and continues the traditions of the Russian higher school.
