Students of the University of Industrial Technology and Design have just returned from China, where they studied for a whole month at the international summer school at the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Languages. It was attended by almost 100 students from Brazil, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia. A trip to a summer school in Shanghai became an opportunity for the children to start learning or improve their level of Chinese, immerse themselves in the culture of China, as well as make new acquaintances with students from different countries.

The program of study at the summer school involved the participation of students in various master classes, lectures and cultural events. The participants were divided into groups based on the level of language proficiency — from beginner to advanced level. On weekdays, students studied, and in their free time on weekends they practiced Chinese, communicating with native speakers in shops, on excursions and in cafes.
In addition, the students managed to get acquainted with the largest city in China — Shanghai: they walked along the legendary Bund, where 52 buildings of various architectural styles are located, visited the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Yuyuan Garden, the aquarium, as well as the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center. The guys also went to the "Chinese Venice" of Zhujiajiao, the UNESCO World Heritage City of Suzhou, and spent the day at the Valley of Joy amusement park.

Students of the Ƶ successfully completed the training program, for which they were awarded certificates.
I'm thrilled! Traveling to China was an unforgettable experience that left behind a lot of positive impressions. I would especially like to note the professionalism and attention to detail of the organizers of the summer school. Thanks to their experience and knowledge, the trip went without any problems and we were able to see many beautiful places, get acquainted with the culture and traditions of China. I was especially inspired by learning Chinese. In addition, I am glad that during this trip I have made many new pleasant acquaintances. The people I met at summer school became my friends.

I will definitely remember this trip! Thanks to her, the distant and unexplored China has become closer to me. The luminous spire of the Shanghai TV Tower, gardens with history and rich heritage, a bustling market on Nanjing Street... I really liked the format of the trip itself, because in addition to intensive study, we had the opportunity to get somewhere on our own. But the most important thing is that I have found real friends here from all over the world."
