Young scientists of Ƶ presented the university at the congress of scientific societies in Vladivostok

The XII All-Russian Congress of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Societies ended in Vladivostok on Russky Island. The University of Industrial Technologies and Design was represented at the congress by Anastasia Kuzmenko, Ksenia Antonova and Alena Vlasova, students of the Institute of Applied Chemistry and Ecology of St. Petersburg State University of Applied Chemistry and Ecology. The girls are activists of the university's SSS and conduct scientific activities within the walls of the university.

Anastasia Kuzmenko is engaged in the production of biologically active acids and aldehydes using gold nanoparticles. Ksenia Antonova is a researcher of the properties of triethyloctadecylammonium bromide in the chemical technology of fibrous materials. Alyona Vlasova investigates the intensifying effects of ammonium and pyridinium salts in the processes of dyeing cellulose fibers with active dyes.

At the congress, young scientists held dozens of master classes, seminars, panel discussions, and lectures. The grand opening was attended by Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Sergey Dubovitsky, Minister of Vocational Education and Employment of the Primorsky Territory, Boris Korobets, Rector of FEFU, Head of the Kurchatov Synchrotron-Neutron Research Center Kurchatov Institute, Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in Scientific and Educational Spheres of the Presidential Council for Nikita Marchenkov's science and education.

We attended thematic sessions, at the meeting of the NWFD discussed the problems in the work of the regional SMU and SSS and tried to find ways to solve them interactively. At an open dialogue on the role of CSOs in the Decade of Science and Technology, we considered how the landscape of work with CSOs at universities has changed in 2024 and what new steps need to be taken at this stage for the development of the community.

The congress hosted a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners of the grant competition of student scientific associations from the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. This year, the SSU of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design became the owners of 1 million rubles for the implementation of events aimed at popularizing science among students of St. Petersburg.

At the congress, Ƶ scientists took part in discussions on scientific awards and drawing attention to scientific achievements, the role of artificial intelligence in accelerating the process of scientific discoveries, tools to support scientific research, and support popular science projects.

Over the course of three days, more than a thousand delegates from all over Russia — representatives of scientific organizations, authorities, public foundations, teachers and employees of educational institutions — attended more than 50 events at the forum site. In addition, the guests of the Congress took part in a cultural program and got acquainted with life in the Far East.
