Graduates of the University of Industrial Technologies and Design presented their diploma collections to the attention of fashion industry experts on the podium of the RASKROI experimental space at Kazanskaya 25. With the support of the city Government, the St. Petersburg Union of Designers annually holds a competition for the best diplomas in design to attract the attention of the professional community to the projects of young specialists. This year, the competition was held in a new unique format of a live dialogue with industry experts, where each expert gave feedback to young designers and invited them to internships in fashion houses, brands and industrial enterprises of the city.
The designers of the University of Industrial Technology and Design were able to find their first clients during the competition. The works were evaluated by leading industry experts and clothing manufacturers, the best were invited to internships in fashion houses. And who knows what names will be inscribed in the history of haute couture in a couple of decades.
So, 14 graduates of the Costume Design Department of Ƶ entered the list of the top 25 in the "Collection" nomination. They were Kira Orlova — the Echo collection; Anastasia Savina — the Gana collection; Diana Nagumanova — the Journey collection; Egor Changchin — the Modern Ruins collection; Li Yi — the Shadow of bamboo collection; Sergey Zhukov — the Incognito collection; Ekaterina Efremova — the SPRING SUMMER collection 2025"; Yuri Loskutov and Yana Mamkina — "Piece of Paper" collection; Veronika Petrova — "Goth glam" collection; Makhym Orazmukhammedova — "Babushka Valya" collection; Alina Bulgakova — "Chouchou" collection; Sofia Kaparova — collection "Lune", Polina Akulovich — collection "Retrospective".


Polina Akulovich presented a bright optimistic collection in pink tones with original prints in the style of Op Art (a style and popular trend in the visual arts of the twentieth century based on optical illusions). The collection is called a "Retrospective". The scientific supervisor is Professor Elena Petrova.

Graduate of the Master's degree in Costume Design Kira Orlova has created an exquisite black and white collection "Echo", using unique hand embroidery in the technique of "Kaluga twist". The scientific supervisor is Professor Lyudmila Kondratenkova. Kira will be interning at the studio of Stas Lopatkin, the company My Stories, Sharuk apparel. The young designer was also offered a collaboration with the KOSS KOSS and OTTEN brands. Kira was awarded a cash certificate from the Sesame fabric printing factory, fabrics for the creation of collections from ULTRAMARINE. The Oodji brand invited the student for a professional consultation, and illustrator, blogger Katya Khotuntseva for an interview. The St. Petersburg Union of Designers recommended the girl to join the Union.

Diana Nagumanova presented the trendy Wanderers collection on the catwalk, a spectacular combination of metallic luster, aged denim, fine textures and shades of white silk. The scientific supervisor is associate professor Alyona Shishanova. Diana's "Journey" collection was awarded a special prize from the founder of St. Petersburg Fashion Week Konstantin Lukin — an invitation to participate in a fashion week show and an internship. Diana will also be interning at My Stories, and illustrator, blogger Katya Khotuntseva invited the girl for an interview.


Li Yi, a student of Ƶ from China, presented a collection combining national Chinese motifs and the avant-garde cut "Shadow of Bamboo". The scientific supervisor is Professor Elena Petrova. Li Yi will be interning at Zarina, PRIMULA, RASKROI, CONCEPT CLUB, ACOOLA. The designer was awarded fabrics to create collections from ARIBA company, and illustrator, blogger Katya Khotuntseva invited him to an interview.



Ethnic motifs and author's decorating techniques are reflected in Anastasia Savina's collection, inspired by African decorative and applied art. The scientific supervisor is Professor Elena Petrova. Anastasia will be interning in the studio of Stas Lopatkin, in the company My Stories. Anastasia was awarded a cash certificate from the Sesame fabric printing factory. The Oodji brand invited the student for a professional consultation.




The color and compositional solution of Yegor Changchin's collection, based on deconstruction techniques, was especially noted by designer Stas Lopatkin. The designer invited the author of the collection for an internship. Egor's scientific supervisor is Associate Professor Alyona Shishanova. Egor was awarded fabrics to create collections from ULTRAMARINE.



Sergey Zhukov demonstrated a memorable collection in the avant-garde style "Incognito", made in the technique of wet felting from natural wool. The scientific supervisor is Associate Professor Olga Solovey. Sergey will be interning at CONCEPT CLUB, ACOOLA, RASKROI. Sergey was awarded a cash certificate from the Sesame fabric printing factory.





Veronika Petrova was inspired by her favorite singers to create a collection with a challenge and provocation. Her collection is called "Goth glam". "Probably everyone knows artists like Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, and thanks to them glam rock was revived. I wanted to show something a little different. I wanted to bring stage images to life of a woman," said Veronika Petrova, a graduate of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design. The girl was invited to a professional consultation from the Oodji brand, and the St. Petersburg Union of Designers recommended her to join the Union.



Ekaterina Efremova, who presented the SPRING SUMMER 2025 collection, was invited to an internship at My Stories. The St. Petersburg Union of Designers recommended Alina Bulgakova, the author of the Chouchou collection, and Sofia Kaparova, the author of the Lune collection, to join the Union. The absolute leaders in the number of internships received were Kira Orlova, Diana Nagumanova, Li Yi, Anastasia Savina, Egor Changchin and Sergey Zhukov.
Kirill Soloveitchik, Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade, Creative Director of the St. Petersburg Union of Designers, curator of the GF2024 project Polina Slutskaya, head of the fashion section of the St. Petersburg Union of Designers, Associate Professor of the Costume Design Department of St. Petersburg State University of Technology and Technology, curator of the GF2024 project Alyona Shishanova, Rector of the A. L. Stieglitz Academy, delivered an official greeting at the award ceremony Anna Kislitsina.
"Those who want to continue the independent path of an entrepreneur will certainly be invited to the St. Petersburg Design project to undergo an acceleration program, become stronger, an independent designer," said Kirill Soloveitchik, chairman of the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg.
