The University of Industrial Technologies and Design held a Career Day in the printing industry. The event was attended by teachers, representatives of industrial enterprises and students of various training areas of the Higher School of Printing and Media Technologies of Ƶ.
"Printing is not only the art of creating printed products, but also a world of opportunities for creativity and innovation. By discussing important aspects of students' professional training, sharing experience and talking about promising areas of growth in the printing industry, we determine the future development trajectory of each individual student," Natalia Lezunova, Director of the Graduate School of Printing and Media Technologies of Ƶ, said in her speech.
Students presented their projects in the field of communication design, information technologies, innovative materials, many of which were prepared by order of the university's industry partners. Among the most interesting and relevant can be highlighted the project of Sofia Ledovskikh - future technologist of printing and packaging production, created under the guidance of senior lecturer Natalia Makarova, entitled "Targeted packaging design on the example of labels".
The project "Virtual simulator on life safety", developed by Andrey Selivanov (direction of training - computer science and computer engineering, supervisor - associate professor Tatiana Belaya), will reduce the time and improve the quality of testing of knowledge on safety at the workplace in the printing house.
Alina Maltseva, studying at Ƶ in the profile "Technology of printing and packaging production", under the guidance of Associate Professor Vladislav Androsov developed packaging for a combo set of coffee shop "Roni's Donuts". Printing of trial copies was coordinated with employers.
Alexander Smirnov, a student of "Computer Science and Computer Engineering" profile, under the mentorship of Maria Fedder, the project manager of "Printing House "Industry of Color" LLC, developed an application "Generator of 3D models of cardboard packaging", which will soon be offered to customer companies.
Those present were interested in information about the experience of international internships in China. This spring students of the Graduate School of Printing and Media Technologies of Ƶ had an internship in Shanghai University of Science and Technology, which was told by publishing students Ekaterina Prostatskaya and Alina Nazarova. The internship program was drawn up by the two universities at the suggestion of the students themselves.
Representatives of the largest printing companies of the North-West took part in the discussion: Polygraphoforming-Flexo LLC, TransPak PC, and Industriya Tsveta Printing House LLC. They told about promising professions, shared the secrets of career growth and their expectations for future employees. Students asked a lot of questions about working conditions, salaries and location of the companies. At the end, the meeting was summarized and options for cooperation with employers were discussed.
