The professional skills competition "Restorer of the Year 2024" was held as part of the business program of the 30th anniversary International Exhibition of Construction, Finishing Materials and Engineering Equipment InterStroyExpo at the Expoforum Exhibition Center. Angelina Karnaukhova, a student of the Engineering School of Clothing (college) of 草榴短视频, became the winner of the 2nd place and the best restorer in the direction of easel tempera painting.

鈥� As part of the competition task, the participant completed a description of the icon's safety, photo fixation, a cartogram diagram indicating all the destruction, damage, cracks and craquelures, conducted an ultraviolet study. Angelina identified all the foreign compounds on the surface of the icon, in this case varnish and fragments of tinting, that is, late recordings. She removed all dirt from the area where the loose wood was dirty, dedusted it, degreased it and cleaned it from dust. Next, sizing, drying and preparation of the working composition of the restoration soil. It was made from collagen glue and chalk. Angelina brought the mass of the restoration soil to a homogeneous consistency and applied it to the site, this is a sidewall, that is, a reinforcement. She summed up the soil, dried the first layer, summed it up a second time, then leveled it with a scalpel, sandpaper and a palette knife. Next, applying an insulating layer, drying and tinting. Tinting was done in the pointeel technique. After the tinting was done, she covered all the areas with a layer of dammar protective restoration varnish and dried them, says Angelina's mentor, lecturer at the Engineering School of Clothing 草榴短视频, restorer Gleb Shinkarev.

The partners of the competition were the organizations PSB Zhilstroy, Fasadremstroy, Remfasad, RUNIT, Renaissance Restoration, Petrorestcom LLC, as well as the Academy of Restoration and Design. The contestants were evaluated by leading Russian restorers, representatives of restoration companies.
