The author of the logo for the anniversary of the St. Petersburg Parliament will be a student of St. Petersburg State University of Higher Education and Public Administration (Ƶ)

The Legislative Assembly summarized the results of the evaluation of works submitted by students of St. Petersburg universities for the competition of logos for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the city parliament. According to the voting results, the absolute winners were recognized as students of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.

Anna Yamteeva, a student of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, took first place. The logo is made in the form of the number 30, with a schematic image of the Mariinsky Palace building inside the zero. "It is a simple and laconic sign. I understood that the Legislative Assembly is a serious institution, they don't need unusual concepts, flashy ideas or crazy proposals. The sign should be short and clear - that's why you can easily read '30 years' and recognize the image of the Mariinsky Palace," Anna shares.



The second place went to Eva Degtyareva, a student of St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Technology. The work is based on the idea that the laws adopted during 30 years are the basis for the development and prosperity of the city.


The third place went to Maria Kolchenogova, a student of Ƶ. Capital letters of the name in her version of the logo carry a semantic component in the form of the anniversary date.



In total, the competition committee received about 100 different variants. Each work was evaluated on a 10-point scale. The main criteria: adequate meaning - correspondence to the idea of the anniversary celebration, uniqueness, scalability and adaptability - the ability of the logo to retain its quality when placed on a variety of media.


- "The works were executed professionally, which deserves great respect and gratitude to the teachers and art directors of the contestants. The results of pre-processing also showed that the level of graphic skills of the students is very high. According to the results, the winners will receive 50 thousand, 30 thousand and 10 thousand rubles respectively", - said a member of the competition committee, Chief of Staff of the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Konstantin Grinevich.
