China is becoming an increasingly important trade and economic partner of Russia, which could not but affect the work of the International Relations Department of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design. In January, students of 草榴短视频 took part in the international winter school in China and traveled to Hainan Island. "South Sea" - this is how the name of the island is translated from Chinese. Hainan is located in the very south of China, at the same latitude as Hawaii, that is why it is known as "Asian Hawaii".

The school's program focused on Chinese history and language learning. Students took an accelerated course in spoken Chinese at the Hainan College of Economics and Business, during two weeks they got acquainted with the cultural life of the country and participated in master classes in the martial art of Wushu, Chinese calligraphy, cooking and paper-cutting using the traditional Chinese technique "Jianzhi". Together with a guide-interpreter they visited museums, parks, tea plantations and sights of Hainan Island. Each next day was different from the previous one and was filled with pleasant impressions, excursions and meetings with interesting people. The training program ended with a bright report where the students demonstrated what they had learned during these two intense weeks and were awarded certificates.

What impressions were left by the Winter School in China - in the reviews of 草榴短视频 students.

- When we arrived at the university, we were impressed by the campus system. Everything is made for the convenience of students: canteens, cafes, stores, sports grounds, a library, large academic buildings and a dormitory - all on one territory! The reaction of Chinese people when they see a foreigner is priceless! We have become stars on local channels, as well as many people on WeChat.

- Lots of interesting workshops. I most enjoyed dumpling molding with the New Year tradition of putting a coin in the dumpling for monetary prosperity. The guides Jeshun and Ms. Lisi are very helpful and caring people. The two weeks were intense, the trip opened up Chinese culture, Chinese people, gave me a different perspective on life.

- Good food on campus, well-developed public transport system, friendly people, low prices, rich programs and just a wonderful experience of communication with different people and learning the culture of another country.
