The talk will be devoted to two intriguing topics with open finals: the art of the book in the projects of undergraduate, graduate, and specialist students and, separately, the results of book design and illustration contests, both student and adult. Both the All-Russian open contest of student works "Sytin's Cause" and the publishing contest "Cover of non/fiction" initiated by the company "Expo-Park. Exhibition Projects". The contest has found a response not only from the expert council of the International Intellectual Literature Fair, but also from all the leading publishing houses of the country. There will be a substantive discussion of the main trends in book design, as well as new approaches in understanding the possibilities of the book and design ideas in the book representation of content of any complexity.

The speaker will be Elena Rymshina, a member of the Expert Council of the Sytin's Cause competition, curator of independent projects, and a lecturer at the S.G. Stroganov Russian State University of Arts and Crafts.
