In a world where technology and innovation are developing rapidly, we are inevitably faced with the challenges of preserving our planet. Environmental responsibility is becoming an integral part of our lives and preserving the environment is an urgent task.
It is great to realize that the students of PROMTECHDESIGN University are so actively involved in this issue, realize the importance of ecological balance and strive to draw society's attention to this problem. Not only do they realize that each of us must do our part to preserve the planet, but they are also active and creative to bring attention to this important topic.
On January 24, 2024, the awarding ceremony of the winners of the social video contest "The Second Life of Plastic" took place.
The contest is the result of cooperation between St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design and the Administration of Kalininsky District of St. Petersburg.
More than 20 animated videos were submitted to the jury, which impress with their creativity and depth of thought. The works were made by the fourth-year students studying in the profile "Advertising Design".
Young designers of Ƶ presented finished works of animation, made under the guidance of senior lecturer of the Advertising Design Department Anastasia Kodatenko Dmitrievna.
The students used their skills and talents to communicate the importance of recycling plastic and show how we can recycle it. They inspire not only to take care of our planet, but also to see new horizons in recycling opportunities.
The animated videos were designed to get school children actively involved in the process of collecting and recycling plastic. The videos tell children that by working together to collect recyclable materials, including plastic bottle caps, they can make a difference to their environment. Using vivid imagery and compelling stories, students emphasized the importance of recycling plastic and showed how it can benefit them.
The winners of the competition - Elizaveta Shmagina, Victoria Dyachkova, Anna Zherlitsina and Veronika Chen - deservedly received prizes and commendations from the Youth Council of the Administration of the Kalininsky District of St. Petersburg. Their works will be used for educational purposes by schools of Kalininsky district and will become a part of thematic lessons, which will allow to bring the ideas of ecology to every child.
The animated films, in turn, will be available for viewing on various Internet sites, providing an opportunity for a wide audience to familiarize themselves with their content and become familiar with the importance of the topic of ecology.
Such initiatives by students of our university remind us of the importance of environmental education and the involvement of young people in the preservation of our planet. We are proud that our students not only strive for professional development, but also actively work to create a better future for all of us.
