Daniil Pupyshev, a student at the HSTE Ƶ, represented Russia as part of the youth delegation of participants in the International Science and Innovation Camp at Guangdong University of Technology (Guangzhou, China). Daniil became the only Russian student of the research tour. The delegation also included 14 international students of technical fields of study from Milan, Seoul and London. The international camp was aimed at studying the technological processes of manufacturing various types of equipment in the engineering industry and involved visits by young experts to Chinese enterprises in order to identify their weaknesses and growth points.

Students were engaged in research work at the AION automobile plant (GAC), at the head office of Yuejiang Industrial Technologies (Baidu browser), at the robotics laboratory at the Photonics Laboratory of School of Information Engineering and Expert Lectures, at the production of the VIP SHOP online clothing store, as well as at the heater factory of the innovative home appliance company Midea Building Technologies. It is worth noting that the enterprises are closed to the public, and for an international group of students, the opportunity to assess the level of Chinese production in the textile industry, automotive, IT and robotics became a success.

— The task was to find disadvantages in the work of companies, for example, it was necessary to assess the cost of production, the need for products for the future, the possibility of recycling residues. We have identified a problem in the company of the online clothing store VIP SHOP, having discovered that due to the rapid change of trends in fashion, the issue of recycling old collections has not been resolved. We proposed to refocus on the production of clothing from recyclable fabrics. In particular, the client will be able to hand it over to the receiving point for processing on his own. This will affect both the state of the environment and the business of the online store, says Daniel.

In addition to visiting enterprises, the program of the international camp included acquaintance with the culture and history of the city of Guangzhou in China, as well as sports games and excursions. Most of all, Daniel remembered an exciting trip to Bruce Lee's native village, access to which is also closed to ordinary tourists.
At St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, Daniil is engaged in both international promotion of the Bios Club, which operates on the basis of the Higher School of Technology and Energy of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design, and scientific work. In Bios schools, he researches the quality of natural water using colorimetric and organoleptic analysis methods. At the same time, he studies the properties of lignin and works on creating a single method for extracting lignin from lye for domestic CBP enterprises.
— Since the first year, I have been a member of the Bios Club. My skills were immediately noticed, as I know English and Finnish. I worked as a member of the university delegation at the International Forum of Ƶ within the framework of the aforementioned Bios Club, translated information materials for foreign colleagues. Work in the field of international relations continued as part of the permanent organizing committee of the Bios Club. And at the next International Forum, I had the honor to translate the reports of participants from Greece and Serbia. After the forum, a seasonal visiting Bios school took place, where I acted as an instructor in organoleptics, then my immersion in science began. Next, I worked with the Iranian delegation at PulpForExpo in Expoforum, accompanied the Iranians at the next Bios Forum, helped with the translation and interaction of foreign participants with Russian experts and the organizing committee. In China, I talked a lot about the University of Industrial Technology and Design, about university research projects, and my stories did not leave anyone indifferent, so I look forward to further work with new Chinese friends, as well as with Korean, Italian and English colleagues, Daniel shares.
