The connection of generations is the factor that allowed humanity to survive in prehistoric times. Older people passed on their experience and knowledge to young people. They raised and protected children, taught them the intricacies of survival and hunting. The youth, in turn, cared for, fed and protected their mentors. It is unlikely that without these unwritten rules, the human race would have been able to survive and achieve such a development. Today, the connection of generations has taken shape into a whole mission, it leads humanity to that peak, which is called "spirituality".

Students and teachers of the Engineering School of Clothing (college) of Ƶ launched a project called "Communication of generations". The basis of the project is work at the St. Petersburg Active Longevity Club. Fashion shows are organized for older members of the Club, showcasing original models and collections, clothes created from non-traditional materials. They also hold creative evenings with concerts, workshops on creating hairstyles and makeup.

The project strengthens the link between generations, college students and people of retirement age can share experiences, ideas and learn from each other. The project aims to create an environment where the younger generation can learn the respect and values of the older generation, and the elderly can be included in modern fashion and culture. This year, the project was continued in the format of interaction with the theater studio "White Nights" of the Primorsky Cultural Center. Working with children allows college students to keep in touch with them and contribute to the development of the creative community.

The "Communication of Generations" of the Engineering School of Clothing (College) of St. Petersburg State University is the winner of the Competition for projects of spiritual, moral and patriotic education among organizations of the Moskovsky district of St. Petersburg in the nomination "The best project to promote the development of a mentoring system and interaction between generations".
