The Ƶ has developed a completely domestic service for creating 3D viewing of goods and services Site3D Configurator. The university's project was included in the TOP 100 of the HSE Fest 2023 startup competition.
Online trading is actively developing in modern society. However, due to the growth of competition, business is faced with the problem of reducing website traffic and shopping, including due to insufficient information about the product, which can lead to users' uncertainty about their purchases. Moreover, as of the second quarter of 2022, the conversion rate of e-commerce sites decreased as the screen size of devices decreased.
Businesses are struggling with this problem both through traditional methods, such as website personalization, notification system, reviews, and through innovative methods, such as augmented reality technologies and blockchain.
"We solve this problem with the help of a special widget for websites that allows you to demonstrate a 3D model of goods or services. This approach allows you to attract the attention of the buyer by being able to touch the product online, as well as increase the user's time on the site and the depth of viewing," said Alexey Tkachenko, the founder and developer of the platform, a student of Ƶ.
Users of the service are manufacturing, construction and furniture companies, marketplaces and Internet agencies. At the same time, Site3D Configurator, unlike many analogues, is fully automated, has no limits on models and supports different levels of model detail. In addition, it is a completely Russian service.
Currently, the Site3D Configurator platform works in Russian and English and is registered with Rospatent. By the end of the year, the developers plan to double the number of users.
