Students of the final year of the Department of Economics and Finance of Ƶ in the framework of the discipline "Marketing in industries and fields of activity" got acquainted with the educational and production site of the cluster of light industry, where shoes are produced, including non-standard sizes.
At the first stage, an excursion was organized for students. The guys had the opportunity to observe the process of cutting, gluing and assembling, to inspect the equipment necessary for the production of a full cycle. Future graduates learned what the shoe looks like and what it is needed for.
After the tour, the students asked questions to the head of the cluster, the general director of the Mercury factory Sergey Shcherbakov. The topic of cooperation with marketplaces aroused great interest. The guys found out for themselves that enterprises need to maintain social networks, a website and their own online store, the heads of enterprises are ready to pay a high salary to a marketer who can "digitize business", that is, work with numbers, analyze indicators, however, not all manufacturing enterprises realize the role and importance of marketers for themselves, considering this profession "decorative".
"A marketer working with a physical product should understand how the production of this product is arranged, with the help of what equipment, what processes are involved in the production," said Tuyana Flyagina, associate professor of the Department of Economics and Finance of Ƶ.
During the tour, the students visually assessed the main production operations, got acquainted with modern high-tech equipment and showed interest in business processes in the shoe and leather goods industry.
