Students of the Department of Economics and Finance of the Institute of Economics and Social Technologies attended a meeting of the Marketing Committee of the Leningrad Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry dedicated to marketing and branding in the context of market changes and import substitution.
The agenda included topical issues of the departure of foreign brands, the loss of industry standards, the development of Russian marketing and branding.
The meeting was attended by business representatives and leading experts in the field of marketing:
- Alexey Ignatiev, brand strategist, founder of Synamica Agency;
- Sergey Bespyatov, General Director of Evopit JSC;
- Evgeny Kim, CEO and Co-founder of Koreana Group;
- Roman Shalimov, General Director of the Consumer Research Agency "Point of Growth";
- Viktor Ryndin, Founder and CEO of WeMakeFab Agency;
- Valery Sergeev, Sales Development Director of the NWFO GC "Velkom".
The students were pleased to note that they received a lot of positive emotions.
"For first-year students, the direction they have chosen is often unclear. In the classroom, we mostly encounter theory or related subjects, but not directly with our future profession. It is the flow of practical information and a large amount of knowledge of the speakers that allows us to probe deeper into the essence of the direction we have chosen. Such conferences inspire us to continue studying our business even more diligently," Joanna Henrichson said.
"During the dialogue, the speakers' full involvement in the conference was felt. People are burning with their work, and this is not just clear from their speech, but also visible. Being the only group of students in the hall, we plunged into this wonderful atmosphere with our heads," Varvara Rutkovskaya shared.
"At the very start of their career, few people think about the further development of their field of activity. We don't look that far ahead. But today we were able to look behind the screen of the future for 10 years ahead and get a huge reserve of motivation for this whole long period. "In the world of trends and radically changing trends, I want to catch a little wave of the present. And what is happening in the market now that the consumer does not even think about? What will happen on it in the future? It's not easy to predict, but now we have benchmarks. We learn to look only forward, develop and follow trends. Our department supports us in this," Mikhail Gerasimov noted.
The students also expressed gratitude to Elena Ponomareva and the entire Marketing Committee of the Leningrad Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the opportunity to visit "inside the business", as well as their teachers - Pavel Alekseevich Shikov and Tuyana Anatolyevna Flyagin.
