At the “StarTui” festival in Syktyvkar, residents of the city participated in the creation of a folk art object. The sketch was developed by Anastasia Malafeeva, a young designer and illustrator from Syktyvkar and a student of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.

The panels for the complex were painted during the street culture and sports festival "StarTui" in Syktyvkar on August 26 by the citizens themselves under the guidance of Anastasia Malafeeva, a student of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design. Now their joint work decorated the stop on Malysheva Street.

On the very day of the festival an art platform worked for the participants and guests, where Syktyvkar residents took part in the creation of an art object. The organizers brought the panels from the stop on Malysheva Street to the park for the guests to paint them. The sketch was developed by Anastasia Malafeeva, a young designer and illustrator from Syktyvkar, who now studies at the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.

She has been involved in creative work all her conscious life: she is interested in exploring photography, collage, digital graphics, animation and using them for her works. She started doing street art this summer, and her debut took place at another festival in Syktyvkar, where Anastasia painted a bus stop on Karl Marx Street.

"At “StarTui”, I also painted the panels of the bus pavilion on Malysheva Street near the Telecenter. When preparing the sketch, I decided to work with the history of the place where the stop is located - in this case, on the panels I displayed the main images and events associated with radio and television broadcasting. In my opinion, the teamwork was a success - people willingly participated in the process and there were many people willing to help. Such a response is also important and pleasant for me, it means that people are really interested in the transformation of the city," says the artist.
